DEMENTIA 13– Roger Corman’s young assistant Francis Coppola was allowed to design this legal after he finished work on Corman’s latest film. It’s the tale of a tragedy-plagued family living in a creepy aged Irish castle.

INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN– Lon Chaney Jr. is an executed criminal reanimated as an unstoppable calm in this new retelling of the Frankenstein memoir.

THE WASP WOMAN– Typical made-on-the-cheap Roger Corman screamer features his usual cast of characters. It’s the fable of a youth-obsessed cosmetic company executive who develops a cream from queen wasp’s jelly that transforms her into a woman in a bee costume. Corman himself appears briefly as a doctor.

HORROR CLASSICS V.4 offers four more goodies, including Roger Corman’s cult fave, “A Bucket of Blood.”

Parenthetical numbers preceding titles are 1 to 10 viewer poll ratings found at a film resource website.

(4.1) The Ape (1940) – Boris Karloff/Maris Wrixon/Gene O’Donnell/I. Stanford Jolley/Ray Corrigan (as The Ape)

(5.5) Dementia 13 (1963) – William Campbell/Luana Anders/Bart Patton/Patrick Magee

(2.9) Indestructible Man (1956) – Lon Chaney Jr./Max Showalter/Marian Carr/Ross Elliott

(3.6) The Wasp Woman (1959) – Susan Cabot/Anthony Eisley/Barboura Morris/Frank Gerstle/Bruno VeSota/Roger Corman

This is a Platinum Disc that has 4 movies on one side. What is surprising here is that compression is extremely grand for such a crowded early announce disc. All of these movies have fallen into public domain and there are tons from various distributors on the market but these 4 have decent transfers including one of the best for “Dementia 13″. There was a release by Roan for Dementia 13 long out of print and extremely hard to pick up but wasn’t one of their best efforts or transfer. It is unknown if the unusual elements composed exist or if MGM who holds the rights, will ever have an official release for this and the other titles here? But in the mean time, take up this collection especially if you are into drive-in or Chiller Theater ‘B’ movies!

I recently saw El Topo at the IFC Theater in NYC, and the restoration was lovely. This film has only been available in North America in bootleg effect, and these bootlegs ran from from passable to dreadful. My personal copy was a VHS dub of a Japanese laserdisc, which had the film optically censored (you can’t expose pubic hair in Japan, but fair about everything else), Japanese subtitles, and it was dubbed in English (it is supposed to be in Spanish) . Now we will salvage it as the broad Alejandro meant it to be seen. This film is really wonderful at times, considering Jodorowsky was mainly known as a theater director, and he had only directed one previous feature (the limited seen and frequently banned Fando y Lis) . His films have a truly hallucinatory quality that is handsome to seek. This was reportedly John and Yoko’s approved movie. They recommended that Allen Klein purchase up the rights to it, and he did. Allen and Alejandro have been feuding for the last 30 years over this film and who owns the rights, but luckily, they’ve made peace (let’s hope it stays that diagram) . El Topo, along with The Holy Mountain, are Jodorowsky’s best films. Many thanks to ABKCO films for finally releasing this masterpiece.

Just to let you know, the above is a review of El Topo. This review is also appearing for some reason under the box position of The Films of Alejandro Jodorowsky. The box area is ravishing, by the procedure…

El Topo is the classic Mexican film hailed by John Lennon and Yoko Ono enough that it was shown at midnight in many cinemas for years. It is often credited as starting the midnight movie countercultural that helped bring attention to, and manufacture cult film audiences for movies like The Rocky Apprehension Describe Expose and David Lynch’s Eraserhead. In that respect it is far from a mainstream film but it got enough attention that it is renowned even today. I feel that this is with obliging reason, as El Topo is one of best films ever made. Alejandro Jodorowsky directs and stars as the title character.

Buy,Download, Or Stream El Topo! Click Here

El Topo begins with its eponymous character in the desert with his son. He tells the boy to bury a characterize of his mother and his toy in the sand as now it is time for him to become a man. The boy is vulnerable but El Topo leads him by example while protecting him in their various interactions with others. The film understands the western genre and the machismo that often accompanies it. El Topo is one abominable cowboy who can guarantee protection for anyone he cares about. So it really sucks when he soon leaves his son leisurely with a bunch of monks after emasculating some dismal banditos. He leaves with a girl he saved and he names her Mara. Mara loves El Topo for being the alpha male that he is, so she convinces him to extinguish the four best gunslingers so he can be baddest cowboy of them all. He manages to defeat them in various famous ways. These scenes are rich in biblical and other religious references and operate allegorically to note that being a awful cowboy isn’t really all it’s cracked up to be. Nevertheless, for better or worse, El Topo kills all four of them and begins to learn four specific lessons along the plan. He begins to feel guilty and while he is caught off guard during the beginning stages of his enlightenment, he is defeated by the unknown woman who followed El Topo and Mara during their glide. Viewing El Topo as vulnerable, Mara betrays him and leaves with this unknown woman gunslinger. El Topo’s battered and shot up body is taken away to a cave by a multitude of unseemly characters.

Macrocosmically, the trek for El Topo overall suggests that his travels portray the rise and trials of Judeo-Christian theologies, with the son representing unique Judeo-Christianity and El Topo representing the faded philosphies. The second half of the film seems to comment on more contemporary dealings and even anticipates what will happen in the future. How will El Topo’s son grow? How will he react to the father who abandoned him but who has himself grown? How will the dominant faith evolve? How will it absorb its truth and purity with humanity at the wheel?

In the literal sense, the second half of El Topo forwards to a few years later after he is brought to a cave by this band of deformed pariahs. When he wakes up we soon realize that El Topo is a different man. He shaves off his beard and head and dresses as a monk. He makes a idea to free these people from their cave so they can join the community outside. He plans to fund the building of a tunnel to free these people. He does this by going to the town with his dwarven girlfriend to entertain them with comedy and dancing, among other itsy-bitsy jobs. The town itself is by no means a utopia as it is wrought with slavery and violence. A unique priest at the church in town is revealed to be El Topo’s believe son who he abandoned years earlier. El Topo’s son plans to raze him but he decides not to do so until the tunnel is complete. The tunnel gets finished and El Topo’s son decides not to ruin him. Meanwhile, the deformed people are free and as they head to the town the villagers there originate to shoot and raze all of them, to El Topo’s awe. El Topo unleashes his vengeance on the villagers, killing them all and in the process freeing their slaves. El Topo then lights himself on fire, which was a timely parallel to the Buddhist monks who did the same in utter of the Vietnam War. During his death, El Topo’s unique son is born to his dwarven girlfriend. If the Buddhist references are consistent then this would suggest that El Topo is reincarnated as his fill son and religious truth will continue to surface again.

I believe it is considerable to ticket that the issue in El Topo could be perceived as both perplexing and offensive to many movie-goers. Alejandro Jodorowsky kills steady animals, uses trusty deformed and dwarfed people, and liberally applies nudity and violence throughout. It doesn’t offend me at all but I knew my wife wouldn’t like it and I understand why, so I mention it here unprejudiced in case.

El Topo is a complex tale with many weird details as well as many religious references and metaphors that comment on a larger scale as I celebrated earlier. I’ve seen it many times and in my first few viewings I didn’t understand it and notion it was gripping but pretentious. It is not pretentious. Microcosmically, El Topo is a film about a human being finding himself, and finding out all alone what it means to be alive. It is about independently becoming a expedient man as a edifying man is defined in the eyes of Alejandro Jodorowsky. It is obviously a deeply personal film for its director and it may not touch on elements personal to everyone in its audience, but it definitely did for me. Jodorowsky invokes religious references as a vehicle to reveal his enjoy torments and challenges and how the enlightment experience for El Topo is merely mirroring his beget experiences. It’s commentary addresses oceans of issues in many layers. Conjuring up the imagination to manufacture this web of ideas so alive is indeed an ambitious undertaking. I bag El Topo to be profoundly lively in a method that few films are. Its significance alone should at least clarify one viewing for you and I hope you score the same satisfaction that I did. Perhaps you will like it enough to savor El Topo again and again.
Electric Cigarette Review
Small Business Phone System
Lumosity
Electronic Smokeless Cigarette
Electronic Cigarettes Starter Kit

Bruce Willis in his usual role meets Samuel L. Jackson, a Harlem shopkeeper who saves Willis’ rear-end and Jeremy Irons as a terrorist leader who build our two guys through a game of ” Simon Says” as a distraction to occupy the Fresh York Federal Reserve Bank, the repository of the second most gold bullion in the USA, Fort Knox, of course being the first.

If you are looking for a movie that is filled with hard hitting action, Die Hard is it.

If you’ve seen the other Die Hard movies, you have to glimpse this one.

Recommended for Die Hard fans and fans of Bruce Willis.

Die Hard With a Vengeance reunites actor Bruce Willis and director John McTiernan for a second sequel to their 1988 mega-thriller Die Hard. Adapted from a non-Die Hard script titled Simon Says by screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh, this third chapter in the John McClane saga is more offbeat and honest a bit darker than expected.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Die Hard with a Vengeance! Click Here

Although it unexcited follows the Die Hard formula – and how could it not? – of McClane versus formidable obstacles, Die Hard 3 wisely avoids the Christmas Crises scenarios from the first two films. Gone also (although the movie never really explains why) is Bonnie Bedelia’s Holly, although she is mentioned in several scenes. Apparently McClane never adjusted to life in Los Angeles and returned to his job in the Novel York Police Department.

So when a bomb goes off at a Bonwit Teller store in Manhattan, it is providential for the Sizable Apple that McClane is a lieutenant in Unusual York’s Finest, albeit a heart-broken and beer-swilling lieutenant. Providential because we know that when arch-villain “Simon” (Jeremy Irons) demands that McClane participate in a potentially deadly version of the game “Simon Says,” our Everyman hero will rise to the occasion and thwart Simon’s deadly diagram.

As in the first Die Hard film, McTiernan pairs McClane with an bewitching partner. Where in the 1988 flick Willis was helped by Reginald Veljohnson (better known as Carl from Family Matters), in Die Hard with a Vengeance his charismatic and reluctant partner is played by Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction, Star Wars Episodes I and II) . Their “unlikely buddies” routine is energetic and witty, and Jackson plays his Harlem store owner character with a mixture of biting wit, bewilderment, and even dignity.

Warner Brothers released “I’ll Gawk You in My Dreams” during the holiday season in 1951. It was the Christmas attraction at the distinguished Radio City Music Hall where it packed them in for many, many weeks. It deserved that success.

The narrative of lyricist Gus Kahn works extremely well for a number of reasons. Unlike the Warners biopics of the 1940’s including “Night and Day” (Cole Porter) and “Rhapsody in Blue” (George Gershwin), which often played loose with the facts, ditto several MGM biographies from that same period, “I’ll Glimpse You in My Dreams” has more grit and depth on several levels.

Buy,Download, Or Stream I’ll See You in My Dreams! Click Here

Director Michael Curtiz (”Casablanca”) shot his film in unlit and white, which was new in that most Doris Day musicals at Warner Brothers were given glossy, technicolor productions. The dark and white works extremely well in conveying the complexities of Kahn’s life. In addition, there are very proper hints at extramarital relationships, drinking, and control issues entertaining Kahn’s wife.

Danny Thomas, in probably his best tall camouflage performance, is perfect as Kahn. He’s a struggling songwriter in Chicago in the early 1900’s, seeking a atomize. He gets it the day he meets Grace, played by Doris Day. They write a song together, which becomes a major success and his career is launched. They eventually wed and the script gives very definite indications that Grace is the force that pushes Gus, who seems, at times, to lack the distinguished drive and ambition to become a major success. Eventually Grace’s controlling nature seems to push Gus away and in an attempt to reassert his masculinity, there are strong hints that he has an affair with a broadway performer.

This well written myth is decorated with dozens of celebrated songs by Kahn and some of the top composers of the twenties and thirties. In particular, the title tune, as well as “The One I Appreciate”, given a perfect rendition by Day, the Day/Thomas duet of “Whoopee” and Danny’s gorgeous rendering of “It Had to Be You”.

Doris Day and Danny Thomas are exceptional together. There is a accurate energy in their scenes together. Thomas reported in his autobiography that working with Day was a astonishing experience for him and it’s distinct in their work together here.

Buy,Download, Or Stream I’ll See You in My Dreams! Click Here

Although Thomas could easily have near off as a nebbish, he somehow manages to invent an ultimately endearing character out of Kahn.
Doris Day is extraordinary as Grace. Curtiz had directed her in her first two films as well as the exceptional “Young Man With a Horn”. In “Dreams” she proves herself as far more than the “girl next door”, creating a characterization that is not always someone you like. Grace seems to be frustrated in her role as merely a wife and mother, seeming to want to return to songwriting or a career of some kind and therefore channeling that frustration into being, at times, more a mother to Gus than a wife. It’s a memorable portrayal. Vocally she can do not noxious.
Frank Lovejoy is very qualified as Walter Donaldson, one of Gus’s composing partners who, despite a distinct affinity for drink and the track, manages to not alienate the audience. Patrice Wymore, as a Ziegfeld star does a standout version of “Esteem Me or Leave Me” and plays her role with flair and style. She was the wife of Errol Flynn in exact life but manages to stand on her acquire merits as an actress. James Gleason is perfect as a typical “James Gleason” character and Mary Wickes is a delight as a smart-mouthed, sharp-tongued housekeeper to Gus and Grace.
“I’ll Gawk You in My Dreams” is about as well-behaved as a biographical film in the early 50’s could be. You don’t have to be asleep to appreciate this very grand dream.

This is the movie that made me topple in admire with Doris Day. This was not the first I saw, but this is the one that made me realize how immense she really is! The music is incredible, the acting is qualified, and the narrative is titillating. Mary Wicks is also in it, and I luxuriate in any movie she adds her sarcastic touch to. I bellow every time I notice it.
Lumosity Free Brain Training
Wholesale Designer Handbags
Lumosity
Virtual Phone Number

-bland, tedious artwork

-no accurate special features, simply imported from the jap. dvd release

-no english track (how dumb can you be? )

-the subtitle option is quite annoying, implying that the audience must all be deaf because they feel the need to subtitle every microscopic sound you hear… we’re not deaf we unprejudiced can’t understand japanese!!

its distinct that dreamworks simply wanted to save this out as fleet as they possiby could to cash in on the hype. it shows simply from the fact that the japanese got their dvd in november.. now how often does an anime advance out here 1 month after the japanese release? usually it takes a year.

i bought this because i worship the movie, but i wish someone else would have gotten the rights to it. if dreamworks acquires another righteous anime.. i will shout.

there is no doubt in my mind that within a year or two from now there will be a “special” version that will have Trusty special features, better artwork and packaging, and OH MY GOD an english track.

Basically it will be the version that should have been from the get-go.

Screw you dreamworks, you don’t know what the fans want. you’re anime distrubiting ways sicken me. why couldn’t you unprejudiced let bandai/manga regain the rights to this seeing how THEY HAVE THE REST OF THE FRANCHISE UNDER THEIR BELT. bandai would have made this the plot it should have been.

I do not know who at Dreamworks was responsible for this travesty of a DVD, but I would like to meet them so that I could pronounce them in person what a total hash they have made of the best anime (and one of the best films PERIOD) of the year. Never mind the imbecilic shroud art (which in no design reflects the breath-taking art in the film) – WHAT is the rationale for HEARING IMPAIRED subtitles?? I always exhaust subtitles – but as so many other people have written, I don’t need to be informed of the sounds in the background. The theatrical release didn’t have such intrusive subtitles – why are they here?!?! And let’s face it – dubbing is not exactly a novelty on ANY foreign DVD: why not invent it available here? I can only choose that, as usual, the corporate honchos at Dreamworks didn’t actually Watch this, and handed it off to some hack who got their job because of vivid someBODY, not because they were competant. I will be waiting for Dreamworks (or maybe someone else with more intelligence) to re-release this. In the meantime – DON’T kill your money on THIS DVD – rent it if you want to witness it, but Philosophize Dreamworks any more dough until they catch their act together and build out a quality DVD that this film so richly deserves.
Electronic Cigarettes
Lumosity Free Brain Training
Electronic Cigarettes Reviews
Electric Cigarette Review
Smokeless Cigarette

I adore the Simpsons. I’m not on either extinguish of the spectrum, either the fans who believe the indicate traditional to be broad and now it’s bad, or the fans who consider it is unexcited as grand as ever. I’m somewhere in the middle. I judge, for awhile it was the smartest and funniest writing on TV. It is no longer at that level, but it is collected more clever than most of what’s out there. That’s a glowing marvelous accomplishment after all these years.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Simpsons – The Complete Fourth Season! Click Here

I am biased towards the early episodes. I even like the first season. I’m not bothered by the cruder animation or the fact that Homer’s inform had not yet settled in to its eventual timbre. I like the early episodes, because encourage then Springfield was a parody of any itsy-bitsy town or suburb in the United States. As the display went on, it became more and more distinct that Springfield was Hollywood. Celebrity pals of the producers started showing up in episodes to be shamelessly flattered, there were more and more in-jokes about the world of entertainment, and then Matt Groening started making cameos. It was a notice of a decline. The note became too self-conscious, and eventually came around to be extra mean-spirited, meanness for the sake of meanness, as if that was the only the writers could point to they were collected edgy. But enough about what started going infamous.

For the best of the Simpsons, I mediate the third and fourth seasons are it. The fourth season in particular has some episodes which are droll from beginning to ruin, droll no matter how many times you’ve watched them. There are more than a few episodes in this season that could arguably accomplish a list of the ten bests. The episode Last Exit to Springfield, where they srike at the nuclear power plant, is as dense with comedy as the Marx Brothers at their finest. The episode displays a full-range of emotions. Lisa plays a fascinating vow song on the guitar, we derive Mr. Burn’s and Smithers at their most exuberant, we come by the psychelic Yellow Sub sequence with Lisa on nitrous oxide, and some moments of correct comedic courage, really pushing how long we can listen to Homor ruminate over the same thoughts.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Simpsons – The Complete Fourth Season! Click Here

This is the season that has Homor the Heretic, where Reverend Lovejoy categorizes Apu’s religion as “miscellaneous.” There’s also A Streetcar Named Marge, Mr. Plow, Marge Vs. the Monorail, and many other solid episodes.

There are some early signs of the impending crawl towards mediocrity, such as the first Simpsons clip present, and Krusty Gets Kancelled, an early example of nauseating kissing-up to celebrity guests. The extras don’t add a whole lot to this spot either. Like on the earlier seasons, the audio commentary can be titillating but is mostly the amimators talking about the animation. If that is your interest, you might like it. I’m more alive to in other aspects, such as the writing, myself. But I’m hard to satisfy, because I actually fetch it disappointing when I gather out where something is from. For some reason it seems more impressive when I reflect it’s current.

If you’re a lawful Simpsons fan, I mediate you’ll agree with me in saying that this was one of the Finest seasons in the show’s ongoing history. And Hey, its only taken 4 years for it to grace the DVD format…about time! But enough procrastinating, here are the goods, 22 episodes in all with a truckload of extras (like all Simpsons Boxsets) So here are the episodes and what happens in them if you need a limited reminder. Delight In!

Kamp Krusty – After making a deal with Homer to earn great grades in school, Bart and Lisa go away to Kamp Krusty, “The Krustiest Status on Earth!” While they’re initially mad about their summer, they soon learn that Kamp Krusty is a run-down prison accelerate by the tyrannical Mr. Gloomy and his C.I.T. henchmen, Dolph, Kearney and Jimbo Jones.

A Streetcar Named Marge – Marge is cast in the role of Blanche DuBois in Oh! Streetcar, the musical version of A Streetcar Named Desire directed by the flamboyant Llewellyn Sinclair at the Springfield Community Center.

Homer the Heretic – One Sunday morning, Homer decides that he’d rather sleep leisurely than go to church. Marge is disappointed, but doesn’t argue with him. While home alone, Homer dances in his underwear, drinks waffle batter and loafs around watching TV.

This movie is a Matthew Brady photo near to life. While it is accurate that the leads, Audie Murphy and Bill Mauldin, were not professional actors, they were cast for their improbable faces and the fact that they had actually been through a modern war. Considering what Murphy had been through, his innocence and boyishness is a joy to scrutinize. And they are surrounded by pros such as Andy Devine, Bill Easton and Royal Dano – as well as the usual Huston cronies. It has many engrossing vignettes – the captured Rebs being questioned by their Yankee peers, Andy Devine, as the jolly soldier, leading Murphy relieve to his unit, the General falling to prayer before battle, Murphy confessing his cowardice to Mauldin, the General promising to have supper with the men, etc…

The narration was added later because the studio had no confidence in Murphy being able to hiss the narrative. This was years before Hollywood understood how effective non-professionals could be if directed properly. The studio also hated the General’s high-pitched protest and so dubbed in a different actor and, of course, the complete butchering of whole scenes which reduced the movie to about 55 minutes.

With all its faults, this is one of Huston’s factual beauties.

John Huston directed this film adaptation of the illustrious Steven Crane

novel. As soon as it was finished, he left to work on The African
Queen, leaving the editing in the hands of the studio. But it was
1951, the height of the McCarthy era. There was a movement in this
country against anti-war films. And so the film was crop to a mere 69
minutes, which do it into the category of a “B” movie to be
shown only as a second feature. That was a fat fifty years ago, and
in spite of the supposed butchering job on the cutting room floor, the
film definitely has stood the test of time. Of course I will never
know what the current was supposed to be. And I haven’t even read the
novel. But I distinct am blissful I saw this video.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Red Badge of Courage! Click Here

I understand that Steven
Crane wrote the book in 1894, which was a fat thirty years after the
Civil War. He was 22 years ragged at the time and had never actually been
in a battle himself. He was trying to say something about war and
courage and human nature rather than about the specific war. And so
his work is new among the sizable body of writings about that awful
period of history that tore at the heart and soul of our
country.

Audie Murphy stars as The Youth and, with the exception of
Andy Devine who has a microscopic role lasting no more than a dinky, the
rest of the cast are unknowns. They all report Union soldiers and we
first contemplate them bored and anxious to fight a battle. They brag about
their courage and how they all intend to stand firm in the heat of
battle. The Youth has his doubts and the tension mounts as the
inevitable battle tests them all. Horrified, The Youth flees. Later
though, he returns and proves his manhood. The myth is as simple as
that.

There is also a narrator in the yarn, reading excerpts from the
pen of Steven Crane. The language is magnificent and adds depth to the
simple conversations of the soldiers. The shaded and white photography
is grainy and grand of it is shot in shadow, adding to the intimacy and
the authenticity of the film. There was a literary rhythm to it all
and it added intensity.

The role called for top-notch acting and Audie
Murphy was perfect. I understand that in loyal life he won national
fame as the most decorated GI in WW2, winning 45 medals. He led a
turbulent life, plagued by what is now known as post traumatic stress
syndrome. A compulsive gambler, he won and lost fortunes, was addicted
to prescription sleeping pills and was once acquitted of attempted
murder charges stemming from a fistfight. But all that came later. In
1951, he was perfect for the role of The Youth. Recommended

This is Rhino’s second DVD collection of four episodes of “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” and it’s worthy. It has three big episodes from various seasons, and a fourth disc of hilarious short subjects. And it comes in a nifty package with though-provoking parts!

In case you’re original to the world of “Mystery Science Theater 3000″ (MST3K for short, that’s what us fans — “Misties” — call it), this is the eminent TV expose where a silhouette of a man and two robots in theater seats provide running commentary for some of the worst movies ever made. The ninety-minute episodes are scattered with sketches and songs and amount to some of the smartest, most pop-culture savvy, side-splitting comedy ever made.

This DVD contains three episodes, plus a compilation of short subjects from different episodes. The episodes cloak a wide spectrum: two are from early in season three, when Joel Hodgson was the host and the note was unprejudiced kicking into high gear. The third is from behind in the sixth season, when the expose had developed a mighty more slick and sarcastic near with host Mike Nelson. People unique to the present will secure a splendid chance to compare the styles of the demonstrate. Personally, I like both, but they are quite different. The Shorts are brief films that the host would sometimes obtain fun of before the movie. Originally, they watched episodes of aged movie serials, but when those swiftly became insensible, they turned to educational, commercial, and industrial filmstrips (you know, those annoying things you had to eye at school assemblies in sixth grade? ) . They believe some of the funniest riffing in the series, and are favorites of the fans.

Here’s what’s on this collection:

ANGEL’S REVENGE. Episode #622. A 1978 film originally titled “Angel’s Brigade,” this is an hysterically terrible rip-off of the TV display “Charlie’s Angels,” only it’s worse, if you can imagine that! A group of delicate and not-so-attractive women resolve to wage war on L.A.’s drug dealers by dressing in white jump suits. The female leads (including Playboy Playmate Susan Lynn Kiger) are horrendous actresses, but what’s really embarrassing is the presence of distinguished guest stars slumming at the pits of their careers: Jack Palance, Jim Backus, Pat Butrum, Alan Hale, and in a depressing performance, Peter Lawford. Bad Peter appears to have been drunk for the entire filming. Mike and the `Bots have an absolute field day making fun of the relentless 70s style (”Tantalizing was a lot easier in the 70s!”) and the abominable, dejected guest stars (”Do you consider Peter knows where he is? “) . This is one of my approved Mike Nelson episodes, and it’s the best disc in this package.

CAVE DWELLERS. Episode #301. This film was originally released in 1984 as “Ator the Invincible” and then as “Blade Master” on video. It’s a sequel to “Ator the Fighting Eagle,” and is one of many cheap-o copycats of “Conan the Barbarian.” This stinker stars Miles O’Keefe as tubby warrior Ator, who also knows lots of sciencey stuff (like how to produce a hang-glider in two minutes with impartial sticks) . Ator travels to the Ends of the Earth to close some John Saxon-like villain from obtaining some vague object with a comic name that might do something really terrible. Or whatever — the film is unprejudiced fantasy of the worst kind. It’s so cheap there are no special effects, and the only monster is an immobile velour snake. This is first episode of season three, and this is really when the indicate entered its golden phase. Joel and the `Bots have some helpful times here, especially at the uncommon finale, and there’s a hilarious parody of the movie’s opening credits. A well-behaved episode, and the commence of broad things.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. 2! Click Here

POD PEOPLE. Episode #303. The bad dubbing in this film automatically marks it as foreign, but since it’s obviously trying to pass itself off American, it’s tricky to figure out where it was really shot. Mystery over: this is a 1983 Spanish film called “Los Nuevos Extraterrestres,” released in America as “The Unearthling.” It’s an abominable attempt to copy “E.T.” and combine it with a dismay film. Aliens that resemble dinky two-legged versions of Snuffleupuggus from “Sesame Street” invade the mountains. A high-pitched limited kid support one of the aliens, Trumpy, while the rest inaugurate killing people for no reason. There’s an abominable pop band on a scoot (their performance in a recording studio is one of the highlights of the episode), some poachers, and a dysfunctional family up in a cabin. None of it fits together, but Joel and `Bots acquire some classic running gags. It’s the perfect kind of film for the MST3K treatment. You’ll treasure their re-creation of the incomprehensible “song” performed by the band in the fade. (”It stinks!”)

SHORTS, VOL. 1. These advance from many seasons, and all are spacious. Tom Servo does a joking intro for each one. “The Home Economics Legend” (from episode #317) is a 1950s film for high school girls that encourages them to peruse home economics in college, implying that they aren’t destined for anything other than being housewives. “Junior Rodeo Daredevils” (from episode #407) tells how a group of kids in a shrimp town residence up their occupy rodeo, and then broke all their limbs and snapped their spinal chords — all in reliable fun! “Body Care & Grooming” (from episode #510) informs college students how to exercise all their time grooming their hair and skin, because people will only like them if they’re shapely! “Cheating” (from episode #515) tells the tragic myth of Johnny, who cheated and rose to power, and then fell into the pits of despair not unlike a Kafka unique. “A Date with Your Family” (from episode #602) is the best of the bunch: a nightmare about the perfect 50s family having a perfectly repressed 50s dinner. The riffing here is as inviting and satiric as anything ever done on the indicate. “Why Leer Industrial Arts” (from episode #609) is the reverse of “The Home Economics Account,” encouraging young men to risk sawing off their limbs in shop class. And finally, “The Chicken of Tomorrow” (from episode #702) explains breeding techniques to invent meatier chickens. It’s very depressing.

(In a bit of a mistake, two of the shorts are already available on other DVDs: episode #609, “The Skydivers” is on the first Rhino DVD collection, and Episode #515, “The Wild World of Batwoman,” is available as a single DVD, so you might have already seen two of these shorts.)

This is another awesome collection from Rhino. There’s more laughs here than you’ll secure in a year’s worth of Hollywood comedies. A must for MST3K fans and newcomers alike!

This four-disc region of MST3k episodes lacks a few of the extras available on the previous release, but that in no contrivance makes this a lesser product. While I did miss having the trailers and the uncut versions of the film available on the disc, this is peaceful a worthwhile product, combining three huge episodes and one short-film collection. I treasure watching MST3k on these DVDs, as I can behold and rewatch, and accumulate gags and references on the second viewing that I missed the first time around.

Here are some speedy comments on each of the discs:

ANGELS REVENGE: From the moment the disco music powers out of your speakers on the opening DVD menu, you should know exactly what to interrogate. This is the legend of a cheap Charlie’s Angels rip-off that increases the number of angels, but decreases the number of coherent position points. Yeah, ponder that for a moment. Anyway, this is a delightfully terrible movie with a surprisingly high number of celebrity cameos, including Jack Palance (as a drug kingpin’s right-hand man), Alan “The Skipper” Hale (as a disco singer’s vaguely sleazy manager), and Jim “The Millionaire” Backus (as the head of a right-wing militia) . One wonders what horrible bet was lost on the location of Gillian’s Island that forced two of its stars to appear. One wonders what on Earth the 70’s did to Jack Palance to accomplish him settle to star in this. A multi-ethnic plethora of busty babes rounds out the cast. Despite the title of the film, none of the Angels salvage anywhere arrive top billing. A middle-aged, male Hollywood executive’s notion of what a feminist movie would contemplate like.

CAVE DWELLERS: This is the sequel to some other lousy film, and the lengthy flashback to that narrate in the beginning of this turkey makes it out to be unbiased as painful and bizarre. The serve cloak of the DVD Boxed Place doesn’t even bother giving a residence summary, because there really isn’t one – impartial some muscled guy wandering through a forest for an hour and a half. This is a film that would be a really, really painful experience without those soothing fellows down in the corner of the cloak.

POD PEOPLE: This ranks as one of my well-liked MST3k episodes. A movie that’s fabulous goofy combined with the hecklers at their wittiest. The host segments to this one are a riot, and all directly mock the main feature. I laughed, I cried, I rewound and laughed and cried some more. I really judge this is one of the sharpest commentaries that the MST3k gang recorded, so this is something not to be missed.

SHORTS, Vol. 1: The short instructional films that the Satellite of Live crew occasionally tackled often resulted in some of their funniest material. These short features are hilarious enough in their gain fair, but when they net the MST3k treatment, they’re even more painfully comic. Tom Servo hosts: The Home Economics Epic, Junior Rodeo Daredevils, Body Care & Grooming, Cheating, A Date With Your Family, Why Eye Industrial Arts? and The Chicken of Tomorrow. Rest assured that they are indeed as grisly as their names would have you hold.

The diminutive print on the succor of the Boxed Residence informs us that “the production elements required to include the films in their fresh format were not available”. A pity, since a lot of MST3k films earn for hilarity even without the commentary. But composed, this shouldn’t approach as a major disappointment, since it’s Mike/Joel and the ‘bots rather than the dubious, cheesy films that manufacture these Boxed Sets must-buys, although I must admit to a very sick desire to peruse the uncut version of POD PEOPLE.
Electric Cigarette Review
Lumosity
Smokeless Cigarette
Electronic Smokeless Cigarettes

This review refers to the WHAM! DVD edition of “My Name Is Nobody”……

Who is faster on the plot than the legendary gunslinger Jack Beauregard(Henry Fonda)? …..NOBODY! (Terence Hill) . That’s Who! This is the most toothsome western, that the whole family can luxuriate in together(there is some level-headed violence and language) .

Jack Beauregard who has made quite a name for himself with a gun, impartial wants to travel away quietly on a insensible boat to Europe. But it’s easier said than done. There are others who would rather view him monotonous and young gunslinger Nobody is hired to do away with Jack. Nobody is so taken with the his idol though, that not only does he want Beauregard to live, but wants his memoir to live on in history as well. The pair become the Unique Couple of the 1890’s and you’ll have a amazing time watching their antics.

Buy,Download, Or Stream My Name Is Nobody! Click Here

It is filmed in the unbelievable “Spagehitte Western” style. Based on an conception by Sergio Leone(”Fistful of Dollars” et al), directed by Tonino Valerii, and with a extraordinary whimsical acquire by Ennio Morricone. It has all the big western landscapes, camera work, and some terrific acting.

I was very confused when I was shopping for this DVD. I knew this edition was an import only but I was confused as to how many versions there were. The tech info here says the studio of release is Pid, yet most of the reviews that mentioned the name of the studio refered to it as WHAM. But I really like this film alot, so I went ahead and ordered it. The image of the case here is the same as the one I recieved, but does not say Pid anywhere on it, and is WHAM!. So I honest want to certain that up in case anyone else was wondering the same thing. And by the blueprint, it’s a decent DVD transfer as well.

The DVD is very top-notch. The sound is edifying. I wasn’t obvious what to examine as there was no info here or on the box as far as the sound was concerned. My DVD player decoded it at DD2.0, and the music as well as the dialouge was crisp and certain. Every puny detail(like Fonda getting a shave) was distinguishable. The report was obvious and estimable for the most share. There were times when it seemed a dinky grainey, and also the colors seemed somewhat dated. But the widescreeen (1:85:1) was vast and it was a nice belief. As far as extras, you won’t gather too great, but there is some. You can go to “soundtrack” and listen to the music from your current scenes. There are also bios on Henry Fonda, Terence Hill and Ennio Morricone (no filmographies though), and there is a theatrical trailer as well.

If you have seen this and know you like it, I would say this DVD is a well-behaved prefer. If you have’nt seen it but adore these kind of spaghetti or humorous westerns, you’ll worship this one! It’s a keeper!

Happy Trails…Laurie

Buy,Download, Or Stream My Name Is Nobody! Click Here

I have seen many comedy westerns including Cat Ballou, Blazing Saddles, and City Slickers. None have made me laugh harder than “My Name is Nobody”. Henry Fonda plays a retiring gunfighter, Jack Beauregard, for the law while Terence Hill plays a comedic young gunfighter, Nobody, for beneficial. His methods are quite different and should maintain you in stitches more than once. The scenes at the Circus can’t be beat. Although he is proficient with a gun, you never look him slay anybody to effect his point. Did I mention the musical catch by Ennio Morricone is substantial? As mentioned in a edifying review, laurie’s boomer views, you can play impartial the soundtrack. I cherish Morricone’s ecstatic go lucky intro song, My Name is Nobody, and all the western themes that dramatize the scenes with Beauregard. I do hope this will be released on DVD in the US and for a lower trace. The import quality lacks a small to be desired so I am hoping for a better transfer of the master in the future. The WHAM! version menu is overly red and the Bio has Henry Ford instead of Fonda as the name, but the bio is true. The DVD is decent quality with a only a few veil glitches and the sound is wonderful. The occasional graininess can’t be helped since the current VHS quality was no better and probably the master print wasn’t absorbing. I don’t regret getting the DVD since this is a stout movie and my VHS is wearing out.
Small Business Telephone System
Gamefly Free Trial
Lumosity
Raise Credit Score
Electric Cigarette Review

Many anime movies based on a TV series are basically like extremely long episodes, though often with with better animation and music.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bleach Movie 1: Memories of Nobody! Click Here

And such is the case with the first movie based on the hit anime series, “Bleach: Memories of Nobody.” It’s not a perfect movie adaptation — several regulars are reduced to brief cameos — but it is graced with some extremely solid action sequences, pretty animation, a solid mix of comedy and tragedy, and a nice tiny storyline for the perpetually stressed-out Ichigo.

After disposing of a Hollow, Ichigo and Rukia encounter puffy creatures with pointed red heads. When the things initiate getting pushy, a peculiar Shinigami girl named Senna appears and wipes many of them out.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bleach Movie 1: Memories of Nobody! Click Here

Turns out these things are Blank (amnesiac) souls from the Valley of Screams in the Severed World, and the only blueprint to rep rid of ‘em is to glean the Memory Rosary, a being that contains all their memories. As Ichigo struggles to support an examine on the flighty Senna, he is charged with finding the Memory Rosary and protecting it from the mysterious man who is leading the Blanks.

Guess who the Memory Rosary is. I’ll give you a hint: it’s someone not in the regular cast.

Anyway, a bunch of Soul Reapers are dispatched to bring the Memory Rosary aid with them, only to have her snatched away by a curious man named Ganryu, who has a grudge against the Soul Reapers. Ichigo and Rukia ogle the portal into the Severed World — but there’s only an hour before the worlds of the living and the boring collide, with devastating results. And even with the serve of all his Soul Reaper friends, Ichigo may not be able to prevail…

Anyone not familiar with Tite Kubo’s “Bleach” series will probably be utterly lost during “Memories of Nobody,” especially given the grand cast of Obliging Guys who prove up without introduction. The entire movie plays out like a very long anime filler episode, but with a lot more current characters, villains, and introducing an entire dimension between the Soul Society and the living world. And an accidental Ichigo-Kon kiss.

Fortunately “Memories of Nobody” does a safe job preserving the flavor of the “Bleach” anime series. It starts off rather lightweight and a bit talk-heavy until Ganryu decides to expose himself, leading into a clash between the Soul Reapers and his inappropriate itsy-bitsy minions. Those rapid-fire battles are amazing — posthaste, lethal and burly of special powers (including Ichigo riding on Renji’s zanpakuto) . And the climax is simply spectacular — a bloody savage duel between Ganryu and Ichigo on a grand leafless tree, even as the Severed World starts falling apart.

And the writers strike a pleasant balance in “Memories of Nobody” — we have acrobatic battles, flashy powers, a bit of Hollow-slaying, and some poignant moments for Ichigo and Senna. Fortunately amid all this serious stuff, there’s some humor as well — including a running gag about ambulance crews trying to resuscitate Ichigo’s soulless body, which he has a terrible habit of simply dropping any conventional set. I’ve always wanted to view that happen.

Even the animation has been souped-up here. It’s a slight more detailed and defined than animation for a weekly TV demonstrate, and there are some gorgeous visuals — sprays of maple leaves, the nighttime lights of Karakura, and the explosive battles between Soul Reapers. And the soundtrack — particularly the violin solo — is simply magnificent.

The characterization is one worn position, though. Most of the main cast — including Uryu, Chad, Orihime and all of Urahara’s itsy-bitsy gang — are reduced to standing on a bridge waiting for Ichigo to advance encourage. And somehow Ganryu is never quite compelling — we never collect out why he was exiled, or what motivations he has beyond wanting revenge on the Soul Society.

But this is a well-written epic for Ichigo Kurosaki, — his gruff, slightly awkward personality is captured beautifully, as well as his iron-clad determination to protect anybody he’s become fond of. Senna is a character so completely flaky that she makes Orihime glance like Eeyore, but she does manage to be likable and good-hearted despite that.

“Bleach: Memories of Nobody” is not quite as righteous as it could have been, but it’s a solid adventure for Ichigo and his assorted Soul Reaper friends. An curious, fast-paced puny lope.

Bleach is the narrative of Ichigo Kurosaki, an obstinate high-school boy who became imbued with the powers of a Soul Reaper. Soul Reapers advance from the afterlife, an alternate dimension known as The Soul Society and it is their job to police our world, bring peace to errant souls, and slay those benefit go indignant, becoming massive soul-devouring monstrosities known as Hollows. So basically, the them is a blurring of the line between life and afterlife. It’s chock fleshy of action, sports a cast of characters so massive I can’t grasp most of their names at any given time, and an extremely complex history and series of rules that it operates by. These things originate “Bleach” one of the outstanding ongoing anime series, but they also fabricate it extremely hard on modern viewers. “Memories of Nobody” does as first-rate a job as can be expected in welcoming Bleach newcomers, but it will mostly appeal to fans of the television series as an piquant and charming standalone addition to its canon.

The star of the prove is a girl named Senna, who Ichigo and Rukia encounter while investigating a creepy phenomena of faceless apparitions gathering in the world of the living. While humans can notice none of this, it is a poor omen of things to near and while the Soul Society researches on their destroy, Ichigo and Rukia have to attempt to sort things out in the world of the living. Senna is easily among the most instantly lovable characters in the Bleach pantheon. She embodies all that is carefree and charming about anime characters. But while she jerks Ichigo around, the Soul Society comes to a staggering conclusion about her and sends several noteworthy Captains to purchase her into custody. A typically good-hearted and hard-headed Ichigo resists, but before a fight breaks out several mighty and mysterious warriors appear to claim Senna as well. The kill result is a potential cataclysmic collision between the worlds of the living and the wearisome, eradicating both. Bleach fans, originate your engines.

As with most anime films based on ongoing series’, the legend is area up not to affect existing continuity in any design. However, “Memories of Nobody” makes for a surprisingly poignant anecdote. Bleach usually keeps the tone fairly light and tends to focus on the humor and idiosyncrasies of the characters as well as the perpetually escalating multiple plotlines. Here, the focus is almost entirely on Ichigo and Senna and their record produces some surprising results. The opinion of the blank souls combining and searching for lost memories was both tantalizing and tragic. The action is graceful sweet here with ban-kais (distinguished attacks stale conservatively but spectacularly in the series) being unleashed left-and-right. Several of the Soul Society’s finest effect appearances in the climax and demonstrate their stuff. Unusual viewers can either appreciate the contemplate candy or consume that time saying “who’s that? And that? What was that thing she unprejudiced did? ” and the like. Lots of exiguous frosty character moments -including one between Rukia and her brother, who was once intent on executing her- will be lost on them, but fans will cheer. The ending was extremely emotional -though a bit confusing- and left me dazzling shellshocked which is what really caught me off guard about this film. I was expecting fluff and got some genuinely sharp drama. Not too shabby.

“Memories of Nobody” is a certain must-see for fans of the anime, but newcomers would be advised to examine “Bleach” at least through Season 2 to know what the hell is going on a lot of the time. Fans of Chad, Uryu, and Orehime: sorry. Better luck next time.
Electric Cigarette
Wholesale Authentic Designer Handbags
Wedding Album Design
Electric Cigarette Review
